Thanks for including me!

I am usually a pretty quiet person and don't chat much on these forums but I just wanted to take a moment to say thanks for having me and for all the beautiful creations for Sims 2. I'm blown away by the beautiful stuff here and am happily downloading things for my Sims to use.

Alas, I'm not a talented person, so I can't contribute, but I will continue to admire and enjoy the lovely things posted here. Thanks again!

Feisty-C You're right! The creations here are amazing! But do take time to look around, maybe participate a bit. You'll find this is a very caring non-flaming site (as contrasted with some Sims sites!). Check out the various threads in the Java Hut or, if you're feeling playful, check out the fun 'n games.

Don't worry about not contributing. I happily download (mainly simmies) and incorporate them into my game, then feed back their goings on in my 'hood. (I suppose - hope - it's a form of appreciation) I think it's fair to say that my approach to Sims 2 (!) changed immensely when I became involved in this site. I've never looked back!

Thanks Mac. I was looking at the challenges and thinking they seemed very fun and interesting. I've been looking through the site for a couple of weeks now and am just wow'd and floor'd by the creations, but also by the people here. Everyone is so helpful and encouraging... you're absolutely right that it's not like other sites. I feel very comfortable here and was willing to post a few things, although I usually just lurk around sites. Thanks so much for the welcome.. I look forward to getting to know you all better.. you all seem like good people to me! I'll spend some time updating my profile in the next day or two so you all can get to know me a bit better as well. :)

Feisty, thank you for joining our little forum and for the lovely compliments regarding our selection of downloads at SP.
I am very fortunate to have a small, but talented creative team, as well as some loyal, devoted members.
I appreciate each and every one of them immensely and am honored that they have chosen Sugah's Place to hang out.
So glad you are finding some nice things for your Sims 2 game here and that you already feel safe and comfortable.  
That's terrific! And it's totally what we are going for!!!

If you just like to download, play TS2, talk about the game and/or appreciate a good Sims challenge, you've come to the right place!

So a bit of a better intro for you all to get to know me.  I am from the States originally and grew up in the Maryland/Pennsylvania area. My husband "Shanghai'd" me, as he puts it and brought me to New Zealand so we could live near his family.  Later I was adopted by a very little fiesty Chihuahua (hence my avatar) named DJ who is my little furry baby, and along with our two Jack Russells, are our children.

I'm a late comer to Sims 2 as I was off playing online games like World of Warcraft, however got bored with it all and wanted to try something new.  Noticed Sims 2 was on sale (right before Sims 3 came out) so bought them all cheap and started playing.  It took me several months to realize there was custom content I could download.. I was like a kid in a candy store!

However, I've been working and trying to get my social work degree (what was I thinking going back to school at my age??!!)  and Sims 2 (along with many other things) took a back burner.  However, got some free time now, almost done my degree (goal is to finish it before my 50th birthday next year).

I love Sims 2 as a stress reliever and reckon it's my inner child coming out playing with her dolls. haha  My favorite part of Sims 2 besides finding beautiful new creations, is making my Sims pretty.  My biggest gripe is I have yet to be able to make a werewolf!

I'm in the process of building a Fantasy neighborhood as my latest fun with Sims.

Well that's me.  Thanks again for the warm welcome and the beautiful things you have shared on the site.  I look forward to coming back here as often as I can.

Welcome FiChi! Sugah's is a very friendly place. I had planned to mostly be a lurker, as I am most places. It didn't work because everyone was so friendly and so helpful, I just felt like participating. I'm glad I did. If you choose to participate, I'm sure you'll find it just as good an experience as I have. If you choose not to participate, there's still plenty here to do and see.



I can't imagine going back to school at this point in my life. It sounds like you're going to be able to reach your goal of completing the degree by the time you're 50; you must be quite dedicated!

Cher64: Thanks for the encouragement! School is definitely a challenge but it was a personal goal of mine to get a degree before I retire. haha My motto should be "a day late and a dollar short" but I definitely get there in the end.

Oh what a sweetie Grykon! I just love the long-haired Chihuahua's. Have you made him in Sims yet? I made DJ but lost him when my PC crashed, so I get the fun of making him again! My Mother-in-law hates when I refer to her as Grandma to my dogs.

Funny you should say that, Maikki and I have two kitties and my MiL doesn't mind being the kitties' Grandma at all.

Awww shame on her! lol...my mom loves Charlie...She always refers to him as her grandbaby. I haven't tried yet, the wife tried but didn't like the result...I had made a our previous pup Heather as a sim pet, she was a min-pin.

Yes, yes I do...Last winter the local paper, one of the photographers was at our park and took a mess of pics of Charlie and I going through the park. lol

My dad is the one who started referring to Tai and Gypsy as his granddogs; my mom doesn't, though.

Congrats on going back to school in your 40s, FiChi!
I still felt fairly sharp back then, but since I hit my 50s, I've lost a lot of brain cells.

And to all of you, I, for one, LOVE being Nana to my "Grandpups".
I'm the one who started that with my daughter's pooches and now they ALL refer to their dogs as my "Grandpups".  
My grandpups are Ryder, a dachshund ... Gertie, a bulldog and my beloved Pita, a pit bull/jack russell terrier mix.
